Maintenance of the 'MPL4' line for irrigating 400 hectares of farmland in the Akkar plain

The Water Resources Directorate in Tartus carried out maintenance on the main 'MPL4' line, ensuring efficient and regular irrigation water supply to around 400 hectares of farmland in the villages of Al-Tulai'i, Tal wa Awaw, Tal Al-Tarmus, Arzouna, and part of Kafrfo village in the Akkar plain.

The work included replacing five-metre-long 600 mm diameter asbestos pipes, as well as changing valves and seals needed to reduce water loss.

These works are part of the ongoing maintenance plan carried out by the directorate to maintain network efficiency and ensure continuous irrigation water supply to the farmland during the current watering season.
