The teams of the Directorate of Water Resources in Tartus carried out repair and maintenance work on several irrigation lines and networks in the Tal Housh area, serving about 297 hectares of agricultural land.
The work included fixing a fault on a 150mm asbestos line in the village of Tal Snoun, serving 15 hectares, and repairing a 600mm metal gate serving 220 hectares in the villages of Al-Souda, Al-Basisa, and Al-Ransiyah, by replacing the copper with one made of 'Font'.
The workshops also fixed two faults in the village of Habron on two metal lines with diameters of 300mm and 150mm, serving 40 and 22 hectares respectively in the village. The work aims to ensure the continuous supply of irrigation water to the lands benefiting from it and to reduce water loss, which supports agricultural production.
