Maintenance of irrigation lines in the Third Sector project to improve the efficiency of irrigation water use
The maintenance workshops of the Directorate of Water Resources in Deir Ezzor continue their work on the Third Sector project as part of efforts to preserve irrigation water, improve the efficiency of irrigation networks, and ensure water reaches agricultural lands as needed.
The maintenance work included several irrigation lines, where worn-out and damaged pipes were removed and replaced with new ones, along with raising the level of some lines as needed, which helps reduce water leakage and wastage within the irrigation network.
These efforts are part of the ongoing monitoring of irrigation networks and addressing faults and damages that affect water delivery efficiency, contributing to preserving irrigation water and making the best use of it, as well as ensuring it reaches farmlands and serves farmers in the Third Sector project.
