Technical teams from the Aleppo Water Resources Directorate are continuing maintenance work in the village of Rasem Abboud as part of the project to rehabilitate irrigation canals in the Eighth Farm.
The work includes replacing and repairing canal 10C, installing a protective fence, and implementing new electrical connections for the pumping station.
This project is part of a plan to improve the efficiency of the irrigation system in the area, which will contribute to irrigating approximately 190 hectares of agricultural land and enhance the station's ability to supply water more stably and effectively.
The project also includes installing a solar power system at the pumping station to operate the electrical equipment connected to the irrigation system.
This will reduce reliance on traditional energy sources and support the move towards sustainable solutions.
This project represents a significant step in developing the agricultural sector in the Eighth Farm by increasing water and energy efficiency and improving the quality of agricultural production. The Aleppo Water Resources Directorate is working to expedite the project's implementation to ensure its completion on schedule, emphasizing the importance of these efforts in improving living standards, creating job opportunities, and supporting the sustainability of irrigation and drinking water in the region.
