Latakia Water Resources Directorate – Maintenance and rehabilitation of pumping stations at Mashqita Dam

Maintenance and repair work continues at pumping stations as part of the second phase of the Mashqita Dam, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and ensure continuous operation. Work at PS8-2 / Turkmen Cross Station included annual maintenance, cleaning the pumps, replacing damaged parts, lubricating and inspecting components.

At PS4-1 Station, the damaged shaft of the second pump was replaced with a new one and all its components were reassembled, while at PS3-8 Station, the damaged impeller of the second pump was replaced with a new one in preparation for completing the assembly.

These works are part of the Directorate's plan to maintain the readiness of pumping stations and continuously improve their performance.
