The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to carry out maintenance and rehabilitation work on irrigation networks within the third group of Mashqita Dam networks, as part of efforts to improve the condition of the networks, increase their operational efficiency, and ensure the continuous delivery of water to the agricultural lands that benefit from them.
The work in the Bani Issa area included replacing a portion of the 300 mm asbestos pipeline with a metal pipe of the same diameter on Network 18.2. This helps improve the reliability of the network, enhance water transport efficiency, and reduce breakdowns that could affect the continuity of irrigation.
These works are part of the regular maintenance and ongoing rehabilitation program for irrigation networks, aiming to maintain the readiness of the water infrastructure and improve the level of services provided to farmers.
