The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia, through the Jableh group, continues to implement irrigation programs and monitor watering cycles across various projects, ensuring the continuous delivery of irrigation water to agricultural lands according to approved plans.
Field follow-up activities have shown high completion rates in several irrigation projects, with watering cycles completed at 100% in the networks of Safarqiya Dam, as well as in several networks of Beit Reyhan Dam and Kafr Dabil Dam. Additionally, networks PT2, PT3, and PT5 under the Sen Irrigation Project (2,200 hectares) have been completed according to the approved schedules.
Irrigation continues in other networks with good implementation rates, while operational teams keep monitoring pumping conditions and water distribution on the ground to ensure proper water resource management and make the best use of irrigation water.
At the same time, technical workshops continue maintenance and repair work at several sites, especially in certain sectors of the Howeiz Dam and networks of the Sen Irrigation Project (levels 50 and 80), to fix technical faults and bring the networks back into service as quickly as possible, contributing to stable irrigation operations and ongoing water delivery to all benefiting lands.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia confirms that its technical and engineering staff continue daily field monitoring and carrying out operation and maintenance work to ensure the sustainability of the irrigation system and support the agricultural sector in the governorate.
