Latakia Water Resources Directorate Following up on the implementation of irrigation programs in the Ain Al-Bayda Plateau project

The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues implementing irrigation programs in the Ain Al-Bayda Plateau project, through ongoing field monitoring of the networks, ensuring the continuous delivery of irrigation water to agricultural lands according to the approved plan, and making the best use of available water resources.
 
Monitoring work has shown good progress rates in several project sectors, reaching 90% in the sectors of Qasmain – Ruwaysat Qasmain – Al-Jraybmiya, and 85% in the sector of Al-Khawabiya – Al-Kamaliya – Barna – Kharsbo – Feteero – Al-Mashirfa – Al-Mughrayt. The sectors of Qasmain – Ruwaysat Qasmain – Al-Kanissat – Kharbat Al-Muluk – Ain Al-Laban – Al-Mashirfa – Al-Jandiriya – Sitmarkho and Al-Qloof – Ain Al-Bayda – Mashqita – Beit Alwan – Beit Nasser – Al-Qumayda recorded a 70% completion rate, while the completion rate reached 30% in the sectors of Ain Al-Bayda – Al-Safsaf – Mashqita – Ain Al-Mawjiya – Makhous – Beit Nasser – Al-Sharkasiya – Al-Aqaba and Ain Al-Zurqa – Al-Tarqiya – Hammam Al-Sharkasiya.
 
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia confirms that its technical and engineering staff continue to monitor the implementation of irrigation programs around the clock.
