Intensive service and maintenance work on irrigation networks in the Jableh area of Latakia Governorate
The areas of Al-Barzin, Barboura, and Al-Tawila witnessed dredging work on the main canals and their branches to ensure the smooth flow of water and reduce blockages, which positively impacts the stability of irrigation in agricultural lands.
Furthermore, technical work was carried out, including the fabrication and welding of irrigation intakes for the first sector of the Hawiz Dam, in a step aimed at improving the efficiency of the water sector.
In a related context, technical teams continued maintenance work by dismantling a submersible pump at pumping station (PS2) and transporting it to a specialized workshop for necessary repairs, ensuring the station's continued high-efficiency operation.
In addition, dredging and maintenance work continued at several locations, including the dredging of culverts in Jabal Al-Nuba and Al-Adhariyah, as well as cleaning a waterway in the Al-Qubrasiyah canal, which contributes to improving water drainage and preventing blockages.
The discharge point at pumping station PS3 was also opened to release accumulated water, and maintenance work was carried out at stations PS4 and PS5 in Al-Bahlouliya, with the aim of enhancing operational readiness and ensuring the continuity of work.
These efforts are part of an ongoing plan to improve the efficiency of water facilities and maintain the sustainability of water resources.
