The Tartous Water Resources Directorate has enhanced the stability of the irrigation system in the Al-Jamasa area by installing a new electrical transformer at Pumping Station No. 18. This station operates five wells within the groundwater well project and, in conjunction with stations 17 and 19, provides irrigation water to approximately 110 hectares of farmland in the villages of Samriyan, Al-Taybeh, and Al-Ziyadah.
The directorate's technical staff, in cooperation with the Tartous Electricity Company, completed the installation of the 200 kVA transformer, which was immediately put into service. This has significantly improved the reliability of the station's power supply and ensured its stable operation.
These efforts are part of the Water Resources Directorate's ongoing commitment to maintaining the readiness and operational efficiency of irrigation facilities, thereby benefiting farmers and supporting stable agricultural production.
