In response to farmers' requests and keen to improve service conditions in the irrigation project, the Directorate of Water Resources in Raqqa has been following up on maintenance work and pumping stations

The following work was completed:
 
// New Channel 42 //
- Pouring 10m³ of 300-grade concrete on the channel section.
- Filling joints with bitumen.
- Repairing 4 cavities in the channel using a backhoe, excavating 40m³ and backfilling 60m³.
 
// BC1-8 Channel, Tell Al-Saman //
The site was leveled and is ready for paving.
 
// RMS33 Channel, Section 5 //
- Completing the backfilling of the trench adjacent to RMS33 Channel, 75m long.
 
// Wadi Al-Fayd Channel //
- Continuing the transfer of 100m³ of soil to the break site.
- Spreading the soil in layers with compaction and completing the backfilling work.
- Scraping and leveling the section to prepare it for paving with the required 30m³ of concrete.
 
// Section 4, Channel 45w //
Two 1600-diameter floats were removed and installed, the base was excavated and replaced with remnants, and 6 1200-diameter floats were lifted.
The canal has been completed, and work on Canal 45w has been finished.
 
Regarding dredging operations, the following has been completed:
 
1- Dredging of the Al-Sabahiya drain for a length of 200 meters.
 
2- Dredging of the Safyan canal for a length of 800 meters.
 
3- Dredging of the Al-Mahwakiya canal for a length of 600 meters from the Al-Hawija regulator eastward.
 
Regarding pumping stations, the following work has been completed:
 
1- Resumption of irrigation according to the required schedules at Pumping Stations 3 West and Al-Yamamah.
 
2- Removal of the old piling and installation of a new piling for the first pump at the second Al-Wadiyan pumping station, and completion of cleaning work at that station.
 
3- Maintenance and welding of the discharge pipe for the first group at the Jarwah station.

4- Implementation and application of the irrigation programs required by the irrigation sectors in all projects.

5- Cleaning of the weed screens at all pumping stations to remove vegetation and suspended aquatic debris.
