Homs resources continue to monitor the olive mills

The inspection rounds include reviewing the measures taken to manage waste water and liquid discharges from olive washing operations, checking the source of water used to meet the needs of the mills, and ensuring compliance with the legally permitted water quantities.

These actions help preserve groundwater both in quantity and quality, reduce pollution, and regulate the use of groundwater resources, promoting water use efficiency and protection against contamination, contributing to the sustainability of water resources.

The directorate confirms that inspection rounds on all mills will continue intensively during the olive harvest season, and legal measures will be taken against violators.
