Hama's water resources are rehabilitating and desilting a field canal in the Al-Ghab area to reduce the risk of flooding farmland
The Water Resources Directorate in Hama carried out rehabilitation and desludging works on a field drain in the village of Rasem Al-Sous in the Al-Ghab area, as part of a 3,564-hectare project, as part of proactive measures to prepare for the rainy season and reduce the risk of flooding farmland.
The work included desludging and rehabilitating the drain over a length of more than 200 meters, which helps improve water drainage efficiency and boost the readiness of the agricultural drainage network.
These efforts aim to reduce flooding risks that threaten about 50 dunams of farmland and protect crops from potential damage, supporting stable agricultural production and preserving the cultivated land in the area.
