General Authority for Water Resources in Syria

It is a public institution affiliated with the Ministry of Energy (formerly the Ministry of Water Resources was merged into it), and it is responsible for the management, development, and protection of water resources in all Syrian water basins, supervising dams, irrigation networks, and monitoring groundwater and surface water. It also works on implementing sustainable strategies and rehabilitating water infrastructure.
