Following up on the restoration work of Arwad Spring and checking the safety of its waters
The Directorate of Water Resources in Tartous is keeping an eye on the ongoing restoration work at the Arwad Spring, which is being carried out by the Arwad Charity Association in coordination with the Directorate of Local Development in the governorate and the Arwad Municipality, while also conducting the necessary tests to ensure the spring's water safety and stable flow.
The specialized technical teams have taken water samples from the spring for physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses, to make sure they meet Syrian standard specifications. They are also measuring the spring's flow and assessing its water situation. These steps are part of the Water Information Center's work at the directorate, to continuously monitor and track water sources, helping to maintain water quality and ensure its safety and sustainability.
