Following up on the maintenance of irrigation networks in the northern plain and operating the pumping stations
The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues maintenance work on irrigation networks and monitoring the readiness of pumping stations in the northern plain. They inspected the siphon barrels of the Al-Arab River after water drainage and removal of debris, while continuing work to widen the opening and clean the barrel.
They also excavated two fault sites in 150 mm asbestos barrels on the PS-3-4 Al-Maghrity pumping station network, in preparation for repairs.
At the group of pumping stations in the second phase of the Mashqita Dam, pumping and technical follow-up continue at the Al-Alemiya, Al-Arab River, Shabtiliya, and the pressure line stations, as well as at Al-Burj, Al-Salib, Al-Shamiya, Karsana, Salma Mill, Al-Qanjra, Al-Banda, Al-Maqati and Damsarkho stations. Meanwhile, work is ongoing on preparing the technical file for the tunnel exit pump and the rehabilitation file for the Qaya station.
