Following up on maintenance work and organizing irrigation in the Al-Huweiz Dam networks
The technical staff at the Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continue field monitoring and maintenance work on the irrigation networks connected to the Al-Hweiz Dam. Following a meeting of the Jableh Sub-Irrigation Committee, pumping from the Al-Hweiz pumping station towards the main canal at a level of +80 has been stopped, while the Al-Hweiz Dam gate remains open to maintain water flow to the canal at the same level.
At the same time, work to dredge the main canal continues, with 150 meters dredged in the Arida area at a level of +11, along with another 150 meters in the Eidieh area at a level of +26. This helps improve water flow and increase the efficiency of the network.
These efforts are part of the ongoing monitoring of irrigation networks and maintaining their readiness, ensuring good management of water resources and continued optimal irrigation water delivery.
