Field tour for WFP donors at Afamia pumping station
A delegation of donors from the World Food Programme (WFP) carried out a field visit to the Afamia pumping station to check on the ongoing operations and the current status of the station.
During the tour, Engineer Hudhaifa Al-Khatib and the technical staff from Hama's Water Resources Directorate emphasized the importance of joint cooperation between the directorate and the World Food Programme, considering it a key support for rehabilitation projects that serve the agricultural sector in the area.
Al-Khatib stressed that the efforts are primarily aimed at helping the farmers and ensuring regular water supply to them, which contributes to stabilizing their agricultural seasons and improving their productivity.
The Hama Water Resources Directorate confirms its commitment to continuing this cooperation with partner international organizations to achieve sustainability in water resource management and enhance food security for farmers across the governorate.
