The work included opening and deepening culverts, bridges, and rainwater drains, repairing road collapse at Andalus Farm, and intervening in Al-Fateeh village to address the flood effects, in addition to closing seven openings in the main Wadi Al-Fayd drainage dyke. Six culverts were also opened in the villages of Kisrat Sheikh Al-Juma and Kisrat Muhammad Ali, about 150 meters of one rainwater drain were deepened, and earthen barriers were built to protect residential areas.
These interventions help improve rainwater drainage, reduce water accumulation and seepage into homes and roads, and minimize the risks of floods and damage to residents and their property. Meanwhile, the state of alert continues with machinery and technical workshops kept on-site to ensure quick response to any emergency.
The General Authority for Water Resources urges citizens to cooperate in keeping drains and culverts clean, not to throw garbage or soil into them or block water channels, as this is important to ensure rainwater flow and reduce flood risks. They also thank the technical staff and workers for their efforts in field response and protecting residents and their property.
