The Water Resources Directorate in Tartus has cleared about 5 kilometres of the tenth main drainage canal, within the villages of Zahed, Arab Al-Shateh and Al-Safsafa, aiming to improve drainage efficiency, reduce water congestion and protect agricultural lands from flooding.
The directorate’s teams and equipment continue clearing work along the canal, which stretches for 13 km, as part of the directorate's plan to clear state irrigation drains, improve water flow and reduce flood risks to farmland and property.
