Under the auspices of the Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia, two meetings were held by the Water Guidance Office – Integrated Management Department – with the farmers who founded the "Bani Isa" and "Sallourin" water users' associations.
During the two meetings, boards of directors were elected for both associations in the presence of most members, as a step to enhance participatory management and organise water distribution.
These meetings are part of ongoing efforts to develop irrigation practices and achieve optimal water use by involving farmers in decision-making, positively impacting agricultural stability and promoting water sustainability in the region.
