Discussion on rehabilitating water projects in the countryside of Salamiya during a meeting with the FAO

Water Resources Director, Engineer Hudhaifa Al-Khatib, discussed during a meeting with FAO representatives the current state of several water projects and facilities in the rural areas of Salamiyah, as well as ways to rehabilitate them to improve the use of water resources and support the agricultural sector in the region.
 
The meeting covered a number of priority water projects, mainly Rasam Amoun pond and Mashirfa Al-Mweileh Dam, where they discussed their technical needs and the possibility of carrying out the necessary rehabilitation work to return them to service and increase their efficiency.
 
The attendees emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination with the FAO to support water projects and rehabilitate damaged facilities, which would enhance the use of available water and serve the local residents and farmers in rural Salamiyah.
 
These project discussions come as part of efforts to rehabilitate water infrastructure and strengthen its role in supporting agricultural activity and improving water resource management in the region.
