Directorate of Water Resources in Al-Hasakah Governorate
Al-Hasakah Governorate is located in the northeast of Syria and is considered one of the largest governorates in terms of area and one of the most important in agriculture and oil. It is distinguished by the presence of the Khabur and Tigris rivers, in addition to the vast agricultural lands.
It is famous for the cultivation of wheat, barley, and cotton, which is why it is sometimes called Syria's food basket. It also contains important oil and gas fields and includes major cities such as Al-Hasakah, Qamishli, and Ras al-Ain, and it is considered a region diverse in population and culture.
