Daraa Water Directorate continues removing encroachments on the Harir–Al-Ashari main water line to secure irrigation for Muzayrib.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Daraa continues to carry out its successive measures to preserve water resources, ensure fair distribution, and deliver it to the irrigated areas that need it within the available capacities.
In this context, the directorate, using all its mechanisms and staff, worked on removing parts of the encroachments on the main pipeline that connects the first Al-Hareer pumping station to the Al-Ashari pumping station. Large amounts of water were being diverted through this line toward agricultural lands, whether irrigated or not.
The irrigated lands are watered with water from the West Tafas Dam, while these encroachments were obstructing the water flow to the Al-Ashari station, which, in turn, irrigates large parts of the irrigation network in the Muzayrib area, where pomegranate trees dominate.
