Continuing the implementation of groundwater protection measures in Daraa.. 83 illegal excavators seized and ongoing pursuit of violators
In line with the intensive measures carried out by the Daraa Governorate, including field tours and regular inspections of wells around irrigation areas, especially in the Al-Ashari and Ain Dhikr regions, the units in the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Daraa continued their work today in the Kahil area. In cooperation with the relevant authorities, they pursued illegal and unlicensed excavators.
Recent efforts over the past few days have resulted in the seizure of three illegal excavators; distributed between the Al-Harra area and the Tal Shihab area, and reaching the Al-Musayfira area, which saw an additional excavator seized today. This brings the total number of confiscated excavators in the governorate to 83.
These measures come as part of the governorate’s efforts to reduce groundwater depletion, preserve water resources, and ensure the provision and stability of drinking water for all residents of Daraa.
