Completing the construction work of the spillway of the Bal'ah dam on drain (A) next to the Bal'ah tank in Idlib governorate.
The Water Resources Directorate has completed the construction of the Bal‘a Dam overflow on Canal (A), next to the Bal‘a reservoir, with the aim of ensuring the discharge of incoming water during the rainy season and reducing the rise and accumulation of water in agricultural lands.
The overflow helps improve the water management and safely and systematically discharge excess water, enhancing the water system's readiness to handle heavy rainfall, and helping protect agricultural lands and water facilities from potential damage.
This work is part of the Water Resources Directorate's efforts to improve water management efficiency, support the ongoing work in the Sahil al-Ruj project, and ensure safe handling of water inflows during the rainy season.
