Clearing the culverts along the Wadi al-Haddah watercourse in Yahmour to enhance road safety in Tartus Governorate.
Work crews from the Tartus Directorate of Water Resources are currently clearing and cleaning the inlets and outlets of culverts along the Wadi al-Hadda watercourse—specifically where it intersects with public roads within the Yahmour municipality sector—to improve rainwater drainage and prevent water accumulation during heavy rainfall.
The operations involve removing soil, debris, and other obstructions from the culvert inlets and outlets, ensuring smooth water flow and preventing blockages that could otherwise cause water levels to rise at road crossings.
These efforts help prevent roads from becoming flooded, enhance safety for citizens and road users, and ensure the continuity of traffic flow, especially during periods of intense rain.
The General Authority for Water Resources extends its gratitude to the technical staff and workers at the Tartus Directorate of Water Resources for their efforts in carrying out this clearing work and ensuring that water infrastructure is fully prepared for the rainy season.
