Accelerating work.. Hama Water Resources Directorate continues civil maintenance of the Afamia main pumping station project
The Directorate of Water Resources continues to speed up the pace of ongoing civil maintenance work at the Afamia main pumping station project, in line with the scheduled plan for completing the project, which is responsible for pumping water to the Afamia Dam, the main source for irrigating the 3,000 and 3,500-hectare projects in the Al-Ghab area.
This station holds special importance as it represents the lifeline for thousands of families' agriculture in the Al-Ghab area, whose daily livelihood and farming season depend on the regular flow of water from it. Every day that maintenance work progresses brings them a step closer to timely irrigation for the land awaiting farmers, ensuring the season goes on without delays.
The Directorate confirmed that the work is still ongoing and is proceeding according to carefully planned technical priorities that consider continuous operation without interruption, ensuring the station is ready as soon as possible.
