The tour included a meeting with several local residents, where their requests and complaints regarding the extension of electricity to the Afamia dam and the main pumping station were heard, and ways to address the existing challenges were discussed to ensure the continuity of work and improve service levels.

The executive office member and the water resources director also reviewed the ongoing work on the Afamia pumping station water channel dredging project, emphasising the importance of completing the dredging work according to the approved schedule, as this directly impacts improving irrigation network efficiency and ensuring water reaches farmland optimally.
