As part of the efforts of the Water Resources Directorate in Deir Ezzor to protect water facilities and maintain the safety of irrigation and drainage networks, the judicial police at the Third Sector Project carried out a field tour of the project sites to monitor the state of the canals and drains and to record violations and encroachments on their boundaries.

The tour included removing a number of violations and encroachments that hinder the operation of water facilities and affect their efficiency, in addition to issuing the necessary legal reports against the violators, according to the applicable rules and laws.

These measures come within the framework of ensuring the protection of water infrastructure, guaranteeing the continuity of the operation of irrigation and drainage networks, and preserving the boundaries of water facilities in order to make the most of them and serve the agricultural lands and farmers in the project.
