A coordination meeting between the Water Resources Directorate and the 'World Without Hunger' organisation in Hama to discuss rehabilitation projects.

A coordination meeting was held at the Hama Water Resources Directorate, attended by the Hama International Cooperation Directorate and representatives of the 'Welthungerhilfe' (WHH) organisation, with the aim of discussing the projects the organisation intends to target in its future plans for the region.

During the meeting, the Water Resources Director gave a detailed presentation on the priority projects needing rehabilitation, highlighting the main technical and construction needs to ensure their continued operation and improve efficiency. Among the projects reviewed were the Ghashtoun Dam rehabilitation project and its stations, as well as the 17,400-hectare project, due to its importance in supporting the agricultural sector.

The meeting also discussed the condition of the destroyed bridges on Canal B, as they are vital links connecting the villages of al-Ghab plain, with an emphasis on the need to rehabilitate them to improve mobility and services between communities.

The meeting concluded by emphasising the importance of continued coordination between the Water Resources Directorate and the international organisation, to guide interventions towards priority projects and achieve sustainable development impact in the region.
